WCH AUXILIARY
Donations from the Auxiliary to Washington County Hospital exceed ½ million dollars!
The WCH Auxiliary has been instrumental in providing funding for many special projects and capital equipment purchases that directly benefit patients. Since 1963, the Auxiliary has raised and donated more than $500,000.00 and their generosity continues. The Auxiliary members staff the Thrift Shop, the Hospital Gift Shop, craft room and sponsor other fund-raising activities in the community – all to raise funds that help the patients that are served by the hospital. Over the years, the Auxiliary has donated items such as equipment for Surgery, electric patient beds, cardiac monitors, I.V. pumps, anesthesia machine, cardiac rehabilitation equipment, bariatric stretcher, whirlpools, defibrillators and therapy equipment and other patient items too numerous to mention. Overall, the total donated since 1963 exceeds ½ million dollars to improve the hospital.

The Craft Group
Meets weekly at the Annex building of WCH, located in
downtown Nashville. The Crafters sponsor a Spring and Fall Boutique
and coordinate bake sales and quilt and afghan raffles. The Craft
Group also extends their hours and sells crafts in front of the
Annex during the Fall Festival in September.

Thrift Shop
Is the Auxiliary’s most profitable group and is located
at the Annex building, downtown Nashville. Hours are 9:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. every Friday and the first Saturday of every month
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Volunteers work hard throughout
the week, sorting, cleaning, mending and pricing clothes. Most
items are reasonably priced and this brings the group a profit
of about $250 each week. The success of the Thrift Shop would
not be possible without the generous donations from citizens of
the community.

| WCH Auxiliary volunteers also work the canteen\registration
desk at the American Red Cross Blood Drives. |
