"Harmony" For Seniors
Washington County Hospital’s “Harmony” program was developed to help seniors with changes in their emotional and physical well-being as they mature.
In many instances the golden years are often not as fulfilling and golden as hoped for. Losses are suffered and may overwhelm the senior. The loss may be a spouse, family member or friend, or the loss of health and ability to get around. Whatever the cause of the emotional downward spiral, seniors should know they can get help and treatment.
Harmony allows seniors to receive outpatient individualized group therapy without the high cost and inconvenience of an inpatient hospitalization. The program is billed through traditional Medicare with most secondary commercial insurance plans covering the cost of services; however, normal deductible, co-insurance and co-pay rules apply. Transportation (handicapped accessible) is available at no cost.
The first treatment step is a simple phone call to Washington County Hospital’s “Harmony” at 618-327-2670. Patients receive information on services or can schedule a confidential assessment in their home or at Washington County Hospital.
Washington County Hospital is continually striving to meet the needs and care for the people of Washington County and the surrounding area. |
