Long Term Care (Extended Care)

Washington County Hospital provides caring, compassionate long term care for seniors on the Extended Care Wing. There are 33 beds available, including 4 private rooms. The Extended Care wing is staffed by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and other health care professionals, providing family-oriented care for residents. An interdisciplinary care teams meets weekly to address each patient's needs.
 
Support services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, an activity department, laboratory and diagnostic imaging, housekeeping and laundry services, meals and dietary consultation. Free cable TV is available in the solarium and all patient rooms. Pastoral care is available. A barber and a beautician make regular visits. The daily activities we offer address the intellectual, physical and social needs of our residents. The activities program is individualized for each resident and is based on past preferences and interests as well as present skill level. The Long Term Care wing is accredited by JCAHO.
