Surgical Services

Surgery is a decision made after careful consideration between doctor and patient.  Washington County Hospital can provide a wide array of surgery services to aid in this decision. We can provide emergency and scheduled surgeries by our skilled surgical, anesthesiology and nursing team who is committed to providing safe and comfortable surgical experiences at all times. The majority of the procedures performed here are outpatient (or same-day) and many are done laparoscopically. All patients undergoing surgery or other invasive procedures are evaluated prior to procedure by surgical and anesthesia staff and a care plan is developed. Patients are monitored during and after anesthesia as part of the surgical process. We provide pre-operative teaching, post-operative care and pain control, which is vital for a quick return to normal activities.
 
Procedures offered include general, vascular, and laparoscopic surgeries, gynecological and obstetric surgeries, endoscopy, biopsies and certain laser treatments, podiatry and some ophthalmology surgeries. Surgeries are performed by a general and vascular surgeon, an OB/GYN surgeon, and specialty surgical staff.
