The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing clinical operations and nursing care during assigned shifts, including staffing coordination, patient flow, and bed placement. Additionally, they manage hospital-wide situations, assist with data monitoring, and serves as the on-site nursing administration resource during off-hours.

LPN ExternFTThe purpose of this Licensed Practical Nurse Extern role is to create a pathway for student nurses to receive 1:1 clinicaltraining and possibly financial assistance while transitioning to a full-time role at WCH. Students must apply and be accepted as a Licensed Practical Nurse Extern and to be included in this program. Any offer of full-time employment will be based on performance and will be made based on the business needs of the hospital. The Licensed Practical Nurse Extern’s functions are to assist in providing quality nursing care to patients while under the supervision of an LPN and/or RN in accordance with the hospital guidelines.
