March 30th is National Doctors Day~ a day to honor the men and women who work diligently to take care of people when they are sick or injured. Doctors spend many years in school, clinical training and completing residencies to provide excellent care and healing for patients.

The physicians practicing at WCH and Medical Group provide exceptional healthcare for our community. The physicians in the ER for the Midwest Emergency Department Services (MEDS) provide trauma and urgent care 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Washington County Hospital Board, Administration and Staff want to take this opportunity to thank you and honor all the physicians in our community. Illinois Medicaid Managed Care Health Insurance Plans

Washington County Hospital & Medical Group is Participating in the New Illinois Medicaid Managed Care Plans

The Washington County Hospital & Medical Group (WCH) have contracted with several of the State of Illinois Medicaid Managed Care Plans and are accepting new patients.  WCH and all our providers in the Medical Group are currently able to accept Harmony Health Plan (Wellcare), Blue Cross Community Health Plan, Meridian Health Plan, & Molina Healthcare.

We understand that, because of the rapid change in the Medicaid program, there have been delays in getting providers named into each of the systems of the new plans.  But if you have selected one of the above Medicaid MCO programs, you can see any of our providers, as all have signed up with the plans.  Please be patient with this upload process, but know that we are still eligible to be your Primary Care Providers (PCP) when you enroll in the health care plan of your choice.

The WCH Medical Group is currently accepting new patients so please call 618-327-2225 to schedule an appointment.

If you have questions about the plan you have chosen contact your plan directly.  If you have questions about what plan to choose please refer back to the State of Illinois Enrollment Services at 1-877-912-8880.

Like WCH on Facebook, check us out on Twitter @wch.wcmg or visit our website at www.washingtoncountyhospital.org for latest updates and happenings at WCH.
